Between Breath & BONE
A Traditional Postpartum Ceremony $444
There are seasons in a woman’s life when the ordinary ways of caring for ourselves no longer feel like enough.
Birth.
Loss.
Miscarriage.
Abortion.
The return of bleeding.
The ending of bleeding.
A great unraveling.
A becoming.
A beginning again.
These are thresholds.
And while our culture often asks us to move through them quickly—to return to normal, to keep going, to carry on—women have long known another way.
We tend to one another.
We gather. We warm the body. We nourish. We bathe. We anoint with oil. We rest. We witness what has changed. We offer touch and ceremony to help the body and spirit understand: you have crossed through something, and you do not have to cross back alone.
Between Breath & Bone is a four-hour ceremonial tending experience created by Taylor of Woven Wisdom BirthWork and Lauren Rosa Wellness.
It is rooted in traditional women’s care practices and the understanding that the body sometimes needs more than a treatment—it needs time, warmth, ritual, nourishment, and witness.
This experience is not reserved for postpartum mothers.
It is for women in all seasons of becoming and transition.
THE CEREMONY
Your experience unfolds slowly, without rushing from one treatment to the next.
We begin by creating a warm, intentional space for you to arrive. From there, your ceremony may include:
🌿 Herbal Bath + Yoni Steam
A warm herbal ritual inviting you to soften, release, and reconnect with the lower body. Herbs are thoughtfully selected for the experience and the season you are moving through.
🌿 Warm Oil Abhyanga
A deeply nourishing Ayurvedic oil massage using warm oil and intentional, grounding touch. Abhyanga invites rest, circulation, warmth, and a return to the felt experience of your own body.
🌿 Herbal Nourishment
You will be offered warm herbal tea and nourishing food as part of the experience. We make space for you to receive rather than tend to everyone else.
🌿 Closing of the Bones
A traditional Mexican rebozo ceremony offered as a ritual of gathering and closure. The body is gently wrapped and compressed in stages, creating a sense of being held, gathered, and supported.
🌿 Rest + Integration
Nothing is rushed. There is time to lie down, breathe, drink something warm, be witnessed, and simply allow yourself to receive.
FOR THE WOMAN IN THE THRESHOLD
You do not need to have a particular reason to receive this ceremony.
Perhaps you have just given birth.
Perhaps you have experienced a pregnancy loss or abortion.
Perhaps you are moving through a divorce, a relationship ending, a profound life transition, or a season of grief.
Perhaps you are entering motherhood, leaving an old version of yourself behind, or simply feeling that something within you is changing.
Perhaps nothing dramatic has happened at all—you simply know that you are tired of being the one who holds everything.
You are welcome here.
This work is not about fixing you.
It is about creating enough warmth and spaciousness for you to hear yourself again.
A COLLABORATIVE CEREMONY
Between Breath & Bone is held by Taylor of Woven Wisdom BirthWork and Lauren Rosa Wellness, bringing together our shared reverence for women’s bodies, ritual, traditional care practices, and the wisdom of being tended by other women.
We believe that care can be both deeply embodied and deeply sacred.
That nourishment is not something we have to earn.
That receiving is a practice.
And that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do at a threshold is simply allow ourselves to be held.
